What Does IQAir Healthpro 150 offer its users?
This highly efficient model works based on two separate filters, with the space available in the model to upgrade into an additional filter. The HEPA technology which is traditionally used with air purifiers has been upgraded for this model, helping it to capture even more of the smallest contaminates which could be polluting the air. While a traditional HEPA filter would normally capture up to 99.7% of all the contaminates in the air that are 0.3 microns or smaller, an IQAir HealthPro refuses to accept this rate. They have designed a HyperHEPA filter, which is the first HEPA filter certified to capture all particles that are 0.003 microns small with a minimum of a 99.5% accuracy. Only particles so small that they are practically negligible will be left in the air, giving you the power to get your air as clean as is humanely possible. Over 90% of the particles that are commonly contaminating air are smaller than the 0.3 microns that most air filters will commonly capture. This means that traditional air filters will only help you filter about 10% of the air that they are processing. This isn't a great rate if you want to make your air absolutely pure. Give yourself the greatest chance of actually having pure air with an IQAir Health Pro. Before the air reaches this stage, however, it will be exposed to a level of micro-particle filtration in a pre-filter. This can help to remove the bigger particles from the air, such as dust, pollen, and pet dander. By removing these bigger particles first, you make it much easier for your HyperHEPA filter to work on removing bacteria, viruses, germs, and other microscopic contaminates from your air. Additionally, should you choose to upgrade your unit, there is space for you to install a V-5 Cell, which will work on controlling gas and other odors in the air. This will help you not only with making your air as safe as possible, but you will be given the ability to make it fresh and pleasant as well.
The pre-filters will traditionally need to be replaced between every 6 months to 18 months. The HyperHEPA filter can traditionally last from 2 to 4 years. The LED display on the control panel will indicate when these filters are going to need replaced, making it much easier for you. The pre-filters will traditionally cost around $60 for a replacement. The HyperHEPA filter will run close to $190. Taking into consideration how rarely they will need replaced, this cost will balance out comparable to other filters.
The highest level of energy that this unit will run on, however, is 215 watts. This is comparable to a little more than two light bulbs, but for the level of air that you will be purifying, this is a rather cheap cost. The less high you run the fan, however, the less energy you will need.
This model will come with a 5 year warranty, helping to cover the cost of parts and labor that may be needed in the case of any damage occurring to the unit.
