Allergic to dust, pollen, and the worst one is fresh cut grass.
(San Diego)
What is the allergy you suffer from?
I have suffered from allergies to many different things including dust, pollen, and probably the worst one for me, fresh cut grass.
At what age did it start for you?
I am a 23-year-old male, and for about a decade I have suffered from allergies
What are the symptoms? and what discomfort do you go through?
If I get very close or am exposed for an extended period of time, my throat will start to close up and become itchy. I suffer from allergies year-round, and if I do not take medication any day of the year, I can tell simply by how much I am sneezing or when my nose becomes irritated.
Is there a particular time of the year when it gets worse?
Summer and spring are typically the worst times for me.
Have you found a solution? If yes, how did you deal with it?
I would not say I have found a complete solution to my problem, but living in San Diego has helped. Out here I can get by just by taking over-the-counter allergy medications and sometimes decongestants.
Have you been able to get rid of them? What did you do to get rid of it?
No, I haven’t been able to get rid of them and i am desperate to find a perfect cure.
Did you use any products, if so, which ones?
The most important thing is for me to always remember to take my medicine. At my home we do have an air purifier, which helps some. It is a pretty basic one that we bought at Walgreens but it helps filter out dust.
One time while mowing the lawn it was very hot outside and I decided not to wear my mask and I had a very bad reaction.Since then when I dust or do chores that involve grass, I always wear a mask that covers my nose and mouth.
I have to be conscious about cleaning often or the dust will build up and my medications will not be enough to stop me from having a reaction.
